FUCK Yo Clothes!!!!!!
Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Hermes, Prada, Dolce Gabbana..etc..etc….
For years to be fly in our culture you must refer to the aformentioned designers. When in fact these brands where built upon the backs and neglect of poor, enslaved, even prisoners of war.
Similar to the Conflict(Blood)Diamonds of the Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone and Angola. The profitable trade of such brands spur much genocide and turmoil to our culture…But yet we still buy them.
Sewing needles have been dated to at least 50,000 years ago – and uniquely associated with a human species other than modern humans, ie H. Denisova/H. Altai. The oldest possible example is 60,000 years ago, a needle point (missing stem and eye) found in Sibudu Cave, South Africa.
Even though the practice of making and wearing clothing was introduced from our motherland, the practice like everything else was stolen and replicated the grandest thief in world history.
Cultivation of cotton using black slaves brought huge profits to the owners of large plantations, making them some of the wealthiest men in the U.S. prior to the Civil War. In the non-slave-owning states, farms rarely grew larger than what could be cultivated by one family due to scarcity of farm workers. In the slave states, owners of farms could buy many slaves and thus cultivate large areas of land. By the 1850s, slaves made up 50% of the population of the main cotton states: Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Slaves were the most important asset in cotton cultivation, and their sale brought profits to slaveowners outside of cotton-cultivating areas. Thus, the cotton industry contributed significantly to the Southern upper class's support of slavery. Although the Southern small-farm owners did not grow cotton due to its lack of short-term profitability, they were still supportive of the system in the hopes of one day owning slaves.
Question? Would you buy a cup of water from the man that killed tortured and raped your mother? Or would you take Kill and Shit on that man’s whole existence?
To this day we still buy that cup of water and drink it proudly while funding his whole bloodlines entire life of luxury, while we continue to die fighting over throwaway scraps from their table.
This Shit has to stop now, Don’t be mistaken we now have our own Clothing brands and textile companies so it’s still only a matter of supporting our own.
And not stopping at clothing we have to make it “Our Culture” by Bashing and educating also charging not rewarding and acknowledging our top entertainers and religious leaders, To actually push “Our Culture” forward and not accepting any form of disrespect to our Main Representative “Our Culture”!!!
I Say all this to push the line in saying ….
